Hi,

My name is Dave, I’m 40 years old and I live in the UK with my wife and 4 young children.

Right at this moment in time I’m a ‘Stay-at-Home Dad’ and I hope to retain that title for a good while longer.

I started this blog not long after I started out in my new role and used it as a means to chart my development as a parent and as a novice stay-at-homer. Well a I’m a novice no longer! I’ve been doing this for nearly two years and I know my way around all the household appliances and I can iron like a demon.

I took a break from blogging for a while when I struggled to find a balance between home-life and my online aspirations, and having done exactly that, I’ve returned with a changed focus for the blog.

These days I’m writing more along the theme of “Home, Family & Lifestyle”. This way I get to continue something of the Daddy Blogger feel I had when I started out, while being able to branch out and write about things relevant to the everyday life of a stay at home parent or homemaker.

I’ve also latched on to the idea of “Happy Children Happy Home”, that’s not to say that my children are allowed to get their own way all the time, far from it. It’s much more about giving them the attention and guidance they need to understand the world and how it works.

I hope that some of what I write here is either helpful or entertaining in some way.
